Privacy Policy – Poolbit
Start playingThis privacy policy explains how Poolbit collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit poolbit-casino.com. We take your privacy seriously and handle all data in line with the Australian Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Who controls your data
Poolbit, operating through poolbit-casino.com, is the data controller responsible for the personal information you provide or that we collect during your visit. Any questions about how we use your data should be sent to [email protected].
What information reaches us
We collect two kinds of data: information you give us directly, and information your browser or device shares automatically.
Information you provide includes anything you type into a contact form — your name, email address and the content of your message. We store this only to reply to your enquiry.
Technical data is gathered whenever you load a page: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, the time of your visit and which pages you viewed. We use this to understand how people use the site and to improve its layout and performance.
Cookies and tracking — small files stored by your browser — let us recognise returning visitors and analyse traffic patterns. Our cookie policy has the full list of what we set and why.
Why we process your data
We use the information above to run this site, reply to your messages, understand which sections are most useful, and fix technical problems when they arise. We never sell your data, and we share it only with the processors named below.
Legal grounds for processing
Under Australian privacy law, we rely on legitimate interests for most of our processing — specifically, our interest in running an informational website and replying to enquiries. Where you send us a contact-form message, we rely on your consent, given when you submit the form. You may withdraw that consent at any time by writing to [email protected].
Who else sees your data
We share information with a small number of third-party processors, each with a defined role:
| Service | Purpose | Data shared |
|---|---|---|
| Web hosting | Stores the site and serves pages to visitors | IP address, browser data, pages visited |
| Analytics | Measures traffic and user behaviour | IP address (anonymised), device type, visit duration |
| Email service | Delivers replies to contact-form enquiries | Your email address and message content |
Each processor is bound by contract to protect your data and use it only for the service we specify. We do not pass information to advertisers, data brokers or unrelated third parties.
Your rights under Australian law
The Australian Privacy Act gives you several rights over your personal information. You may:
- Access the data we hold about you, in a structured, commonly used format.
- Correct any information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your data, where we no longer have a legitimate reason to keep it.
- Restrict processing while a dispute about accuracy or lawfulness is resolved.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests, if your situation gives you grounds to do so.
- Withdraw consent for any processing that relies on it, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with your request. We will respond within 30 days. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
How long we keep your information
Contact-form messages and replies are kept for two years, then deleted. Technical logs and analytics data are retained for 12 months. We delete data sooner if you request it and we have no legal obligation to retain it.
Protecting minors
This site is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it immediately.
International data transfers
Some of the processors we use are based outside Australia. Where your data is transferred internationally, we ensure the recipient country offers adequate protection or we put in place standard contractual clauses approved by the OAIC.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we work or in the law. The date at the bottom of the page shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be announced on the homepage.
